first collection of demos
Gina here are some demos i got going over the weekend, ideas at this point, but can be used to sift into final versions. if there's anything you like please comment, on whatever level. combining different parts of different tracks, cutting things out, segments you especially like that you'd like me to expand upon. etc. things are a bit loose rhythmically in some place but can of course be tightened up with more takes, also i see alot of these having some sort of subtle back ground field recordings going on in certain spots for more atmosphere. also the rhythmic part of the first piano comp i see see building more with other instruments and drums that mimic iconography.
piano comp 1
piano comp 2
piano comp 3

Dulcitar comp 1- love love super love this!!! Like everything about it, rhythms, feel, instruments...this is the kind of variance that I was looking for in the piece. I really feel the "Morroccon women" (men) here. I guess then it is just how to you merge this with the other max richter and your music. Seems completely doable. My problem right now is that I love all your music so...do we cut any of the max richter sections and replace with yours to create a better arch for the work. What is your instinct? We talked about some of the other speaking sections+richter+your compositions...what is the balance...

Really love this too: the piano intro, the build, the atmosphere, the typewriter sound/rhythm how it comes to a close. I see it really connected to the dulcitar comp. It like your thoughts on how you what to build on this too.

Same as above, really love your work. In this piece, I especially like at 2:00 when the piano trills (?) come in, the overlapping sound.

the last comment was for Piano comp 3 Piano comp 2- everything goes really well. The others struck me in the order of the comments. Not sure the best way to proceed. If you want to develop them more, we could decide how to put it all together and if anything is not used, I would be happy to use it for future choreography so your time would not be wasted ;) That is if that is ok with you. How do you hear it all fitting together and what interests YOU most. Look forward to your feedback of my feedback ;)

Wanted to mention that I hear the ties to the richter music. You've done a great job making connections. The firs piano comp would even go after Blue Notebooks. And then, like you said, could tie to Iconography. I had both piano comp 1 and On the Nature of Daylight playing at the same time, by accident at first, but some interesting things.
